On September 1, 2021, the Law “On Garage Amnesty” came into force in Russia, according to which it is possible to register ownership of a garage in the Unified State Register of Real Estate and get land under it for free. It is designed to regulate the market of private garages, and allow citizens to obtain ownership of garages, as well as the land under them, in a simplified manner. Most of the garages were created during the USSR or before 2005, and their legal status is not registered anywhere. The new Law allows you to quickly and easily register your garage and the land under it as your property.
